Approximately one in 20 working-age veterans live in households that have very low food security, meaning that they need to use severe coping mechanisms like going hungry and skipping meals. Twenty-seven percent of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans struggle to put food on their tables, which is double the national average. Fields 4 Valor Farms is committed to ending this struggle for local veterans in the Washington, D.C., area, but we cannot do it alone. With your support, we can continue growing produce, raising chickens for eggs, and keeping bees for honey to feed veteran families in need.
