We are thrilled to announce a significant national partnership between Fields 4 Valor Farms (F4V) and the esteemed Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC). This strategic integration marks an exciting evolution for F4V as we align our mission with one of the leading national organizations dedicated to supporting Veterans in agriculture.
As part of this partnership, Peter Scott, our founder, will play a crucial role in furthering our commitment to Veteran food security. He will serve on the national Board of Trustees for FVC and contribute to the leadership of FVC’s Maryland chapter. In this capacity, Peter is poised to spearhead an innovative pilot program in Maryland, which will coordinate donations and sales of agricultural products to local food banks serving military communities. This pilot program aims to create sustainable food security solutions for Veterans that can be replicated across other military communities nationwide. By leveraging local agricultural resources and fostering partnerships with food banks, we will address the pressing issue of food security for our Veterans, ensuring they have access to nutritious food.
We are excited about the possibilities this partnership brings to F4V, the Veterans we serve, and the communities we support. Together with FVC, we look forward to developing impactful initiatives that honor our Veterans and enhance their quality of life through sustainable practices.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this promising journey together!
Important Changes to Services for Current Participants
As part of this transition, we want you to be aware that our Brandywine farm location will not be part of this partnership. As of December 31, 2025, this means we will no longer be able to provide food distribution services as we have in the past. We understand this change may impact on you and your family, and we want to ensure you have access to alternative support. Here are the next steps that you can take to ensure that you have access to alternative food supply and/or resources:
Available Resources:
- Southern Maryland Food Bank
- Community Support Systems, Inc.
- Capital Area Food Bank
- Feeding America Local Food Bank Lookup
- National Association of American Veterans
- U.S.VETS
- Cook for Vets
While this transition means changes to our current food distribution program, we remain committed to supporting Veteran food security through FVC’s broader network and resources. We deeply appreciate the trust you have placed in Fields 4 Valor Farms over the years.
